In The Spin with Evan Flynn

This gallery is comprised of various recordings of radio programs of mine pulled from the live air from 2014 to 2015. These were played from WSUM 91.7 FM out of Madison, Wisconsin. These sets were curated for an alternative, student-run radio station. The time slot that I was a radio host for was late, Sunday nights, so as a result, I curated sets that were for the most part intended for late-night, low-key listening when studying or lounging about. Although I thoroughly enjoyed by time as a Radio DJ, I ultimately left Madison once I had attained my degree and had to leave my post at the station.

The Week in Review

This gallery contains two podcasts that I have produced for a course at UW-Madison. The task was simple to produce two podcasts. The first podcast clocks in at about 5 minutes and was produced with the intention of being the “pitch” or “demo” for the second podcast, the full length “pilot” episode. My vision for these podcasts was to create a space that talked about in depth about music, while being timely and fun. I wanted to create an atmosphere akin to late night talk shows, so I added panelists to discuss with and feature various “bits” which provided a different structured approach to usual podcast conversation. While I actually believed in this podcast and its structure, it was only for an undergraduate course and never saw commercial use or sponsorship.
